South East Legislative Aides Caucus Leader Calls Members to Attend First African Legislative Aides Conference
The Chairman of the South East Legislative Aides Caucus at the National Assembly, Dr Ekwe Okwudiri, has called on all legislative aides to attend the maiden edition of the African Legislative Aides Conference 2025.
According to Dr Ekwe, the conference is an opportunity for legislative assistants across African parliaments to come together and exchange ideas that will shape the future of legislative practice on the continent.
He praised the Convener of the Conference and Chairman of the National Assembly Legislative Aides Forum, Barr Emeka Nwala, for what he described as an outstanding performance since assuming office.
“This conference is a unique opportunity for all legislative aides who play important roles in shaping legislative activities in parliaments to come together and share ideas on how to make the legislative arm of government stronger and more independent,” Ekwe said.
The three day conference, scheduled to hold in Abuja, will run from the first of December to the third of December 2025. The Speaker of the South Sudan Parliament, RT Hon Nunu Jemma and other delegates from Ghana, South African and Zambia are expected to deliver keynote addresses
