Police Accused of Kidnapping, Extorting N300,000 From Abuja Youth

A Nigerian man has accused police officers in Abuja of abducting his younger brother and extorting N300,000 before releasing him. The victim's brother, who goes by the X handle @deyoppressed, shared the incident in a series of posts on Sunday, describing the officers as "criminals in uniform."  

According to the account, the police operatives allegedly seized the young man unlawfully, threatened him, and forced him to transfer the money through a POS agent. The family is calling for immediate action from police authorities, while the public outcry over police brutality and extortion grows.  

The Nigeria Police Force has yet to respond to the allegations. The case adds to mounting complaints about officers exploiting citizens under the guise of law enforcement. Many Nigerians are demanding accountability and systemic reforms to end such abuses.
