Kaduna Governor’s Peace Model Strengthening APC Acceptance – KADIRS Chairman
The Chairman of the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service, Jerry Adams, has credited Governor Uba Sani’s peace and inclusiveness model for the growing acceptance of the All Progressives Congress in Kaduna State, particularly during the Chikun/Kajuru House of Representatives bye-election.
Adams explained that Governor Sani’s leadership style, which emphasizes dialogue, reconciliation, and participatory governance, has helped to reduce tensions and foster trust among communities in the state. According to him, this approach has made the ruling party more acceptable to voters, even in areas previously considered opposition strongholds.
The Chikun/Kajuru bye-election drew significant attention because of its strategic importance and history of competitive politics. Observers noted that the APC gained wider support than expected, a development Adams attributed to the governor’s focus on peace and inclusivity. He emphasized that Uba Sani’s administration has continued to prioritize policies that unite diverse groups while addressing key economic and security concerns.
Kaduna State has faced years of political and social challenges, especially in local government areas with histories of communal and political rivalry. Analysts say that strategies aimed at inclusiveness and reconciliation remain critical in strengthening democratic participation and improving voter confidence in the electoral process.
By linking these strategies to the APC’s performance in the Chikun/Kajuru bye-election, Adams argued that the governor’s peace model is reshaping the political landscape in Kaduna, making the ruling party more acceptable across divides.
