Femi Otedola: Banks Used Attractive Ladies to Tempt Me with Loans and Deposits

Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola has revealed that banks once deployed attractive women to persuade him to take loans and make deposits during the peak of his business success.  

The businessman shared the anecdote while speaking on the tactics financial institutions used to woo high-net-worth clients. Otedola, known for his investments in energy, shipping, and finance, explained that banks saw him as a prime target due to his wealth and influence.  

He did not specify which banks were involved but suggested that the strategy was common in the industry. Otedola’s revelation sheds light on the aggressive marketing techniques employed by financial institutions to attract and retain wealthy customers.  

The billionaire, who has faced both business triumphs and challenges, remains one of Africa’s most prominent entrepreneurs. His comments highlight the unconventional methods sometimes used in high-stakes banking and corporate negotiations.
